The 2022 Subaru Ascent will please many of our customers in Lansing, MI. This three-row SUV has so much capability and has been packed with high-tech equipment and convenient features. New for 2022 is the Onyx Edition. It fits between the Premium and the Limited trims in the middle of the lineup.
East Lansing drivers will appreciate that the Onyx Edition has the same reliable mechanical components as the other Ascent trims. Symmetrical all-wheel drive and a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine are standard. The Onyx Edition gets to have 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels that have a black finish. In addition, it has LED fog lights and crystal black silica-finish side mirrors. A power moonroof is optional if anyone wants to give the cabin a more spacious feel.
No matter how cold it is, you can stay cozy in your Ascent Onyx Edition. It comes standard with heated front seats, and it has a heated steering wheel to give your hands some extra warmth. The seats are covered in a water-repellant upholstery called StarTex. It looks great and is easy to clean. It's important to note that this trim comes with captain's chairs in its middle row. We've found that some customers in Haslett, MI prefer this configuration because it makes it easier to access the third row.
As you'd expect from a Subaru, there are plenty of driver-assist technologies that have been integrated into the Onyx Edition. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure alert are some of the advanced components that come with the safety package. Plus, the Onyx Edition has an impressive infotainment system that consists of an eight-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi capability, and smartphone compatibility. Navigation is optional.
