What's New this Year?

There're a few exciting updates to the new lineup of Subaru Outback models. The main changes come to the Limited trim level, as it adds in a standard sunroof, a heated steering wheel, a driver attention monitoring system, and an 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with a full navigation system.

Performance

The new 2025 Subaru Outback lineup comes with two engine options. All the Outback Base, Premium, Onyx Edition, Limited, and Touring models come with the standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder Subaru Boxer engine that produces 182-horsepower and 176 pounds-feet of torque. The XT variants of all these models use the stronger and sportier 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder Boxer engine that produces 260-horsepower and 277 pounds-feet of torque, resulting in a more exciting and engaging driving experience on your travels to Holt, MI and beyond.

All the new Subaru Outback models also continue to come with the legendary Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, providing you with the utmost traction, handling, and control regardless of the weather conditions around Haslett, MI or the terrain you're facing.

Design

Exterior

The Subaru Outback lineup remains unique from other midsize crossover SUVs, because it's technically a cross between a wagon and an SUV, providing you with its iconic and rugged build that features body cladding around the bumpers and wheels, raised roof rails, LED headlights, and 8.7-inches of ground clearance. The Outback Wilderness models take ruggedness to the next level with 9.5-inches of ground clearance, front skid plates, reinforced roof rails, all-terrain wheels and tires, and much more.

Interior

You and your family and friends can stretch out and enjoy the ride with comfortable seating for five passengers in every Outback model, plus an extra 32.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row of seats, with up to 75.6 cubic feet of maximum cargo space when you put the rear seats down. Cloth and leather upholstery are both offered, along with a host of other features.

Technology Features

The Outback Base trim level uses dual 7-inch touchscreen displays, while every other Outback model uses a large 11.6-inch vertical touchscreen display. The touchscreen is used for the standard Starlink multimedia system, featuring standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration that allows you to seamlessly connect and control your smartphone as you're traveling to Grand Ledge, MI or across the country.

Safety Features

Drive anywhere with more confidence thanks to the standard Eyesight Driver Assist Technology system in every new Outback model. The system has standard pre-collision braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and more. Higher trims add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a front-view monitoring system, and other features to help you maintain the optimal awareness wherever you go.
